Fido

Fido needed a redesign for their customer check-out page. The main objective was to make it easier for clients to be able to swap between different lines that are all affiliated with one account. This also included the ability to swap between lines as well as activating new ones. To improve Fido’s design not only did I analyze their current web design, but I conducted a competitive analysis to see how I could improve on their designs, but apply those changes to Fido, making it a better user experience for Fido’s clients.

In my redesign I added a toolbar at the top where the client would be able to swap between the different lines associated with their account. Account details are made easily accessible once the line has been selected, and they are also given the option to upgrade their existing hardware and plans.

Taking the design one step further to simplify the process for clients I eliminated the amount of steps that were taken to complete an upgrade or a check-out. I added more tabs, where the client can switch between devices, plans, add-ons and promotions. They can skip ahead or go back without ever having to go onto a different page. Eliminating steps and simplifying the design made for a better user experience.

I also went ahead and added the tab feature to the shopping cart. This allowed clients to get their totals for every specific line, as well as the total for their entire purchase. This gave the client a more detailed breakdown, providing more information with less hassle.
